Farren Lankin (Williams), 2023
Digital pigment print on cotton rag
42.5 x 29.5 cm including white border
Edition of 6

Farren Lankin (Williams) is from Alice Springs. He proudly belongs to the Western Arranda and Luritja Tribe from Central Australia. His artistic journey began in primary school where he discovered his love for drawing. He vividly remembers filling his workbooks with sketches of many superheroes, improving his skills through visualization. Over time, he has embraced digital art, delving into this medium over the past year.

Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to a drawing that holds great significance to me. It portrays an Aboriginal elder, a revered figure within his communities. This wise old man is deeply connected to his cultural heritage, and his passion lies in participating in the lore and traditions that define his identity. It is his life’s priority to preserve and celebrate his cultural roots. I hope this drawing captures the essence of his wisdom, strength, and dedication. Thank you for allowing me to share this piece of my artistic journey with you. - Farren
