Two Stories: Kunapula Way and Eagle Valley Homeland (detail) Acrylic on Linen © Nora Abbott and Tangentyere Artists ‘‘Kunapula Way, south of Tjunti - now called Lasseters Cave on Hull River, where that big sand dune is. When that Kapi flowing, all the animals come. Big mob wild camels, goanna, emu, kangaroo, echidna, bush turkey - all the birds - all come there. Good hunting time. This is my country, my grandfather took me here a long time ago when I was just a kid at Tjunti - Lasseters Cave - after big rain. I saw all the animals. They’re all coming out after big rain. Creeks are flooded with lots of water, all animals are happy enjoying the sunlight and green grass.”
